This workshop helps prepare youth leaders to present using best practices without losing their authentic and powerful voices. 

For our mini-grant winners, our group is consulting and the mentoring session will happen in the second half of our workshop.

These workshops are designed to help prepare and empower emerging youth leaders to plan, implement, and communicate their projects to gain more funders, support, and advocate for their service to transform their community. In addition, students will be prepared to submit their projects for consideration for the 2023 National Showcase and Award Ceremony!

Workshop 2: Measuring your Success with Metrics

This workshop determines what success looks like and how to measure it. The more confidence you can understand your results, the more you can improve your process and communicate your success to potential funders and supporters.

About our Speaker:

An Nguyen, Vice President at CCS Fundraising, is a fundraising consultant with over 15 years of experience supporting organizations throughout the Western United States to realize their aspirational vision through philanthropic support.  She has partnered with nonprofits from myriad sectors including religion, health care, independent schools, human services, and arts and culture to raise over $150 million dollars cumulatively. An brings a depth of skill in marrying fundraising principles with staff and volunteer mobilization to bring about fundraising success. 

An and her colleagues will share the wisdom that will help you succeed in your work!

The purpose of the 2022 Emerging Leaders in Civic Action Mini-Grant Program: 

Date: 10/23/2021, 9am - 12pm PST

The 2021 National Showcase and Award Ceremony is an opportunity to highlight and award young students and civically engaged organizations from across the U.S. 

Students were invited to present and share about a civic engagement /community impact project they were working on. Students had a chance to win our Project of the Year Award (certificate and cash prize, 1st place award $1,000, 2nd place award $500, 3rd place award $300).
